Auxiliary Meeting

Every 1st Monday of the Month starting at 7:00PM

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to say a few words to all of the American Legion Family of Post 98.  Thank you for your support of my project this year.  It is with your cooperaton and support that I have been able to exceed my goal of $6,000 for clothing and hygiene products for the Community Resource and Referral Center.  In fact I have raised over $9,000 in goods.

Also, a reminder that it is annual report time. If you are a member who does not attend meetings, your volunteer hours go unreported.  So please everyone, start now in reconciling what you did, how long you did it, and any funds donated on behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary. Once you have gathered that information, please mail it to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 98, P.O. Box 6, St. Paul Park, MN  55071. Your time is valuable so please be sure to report it.  A brief description of what you did will help the chairman determine where to place your hours.  Remember the reporting period begins on April 1 and ends on March 31.  All reports must be completed so as to arriveby April 15 in the Department office. So get your hours sent in as soon as possible.

Finally just a reminder of an upcoming event. This event is open to all members.

March 9th– Department Rally in Montgomery

Thanks again everyone for your support.

Q: I am related to someone who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibilty dates. Can I join the Auxiliary of The American Legion?

A: If your relative who served on active duty during one of the membership eligibility dates and is a member of The American Legion, you may join the American Legion Auxiliary of The American Legion.

However, if the qualifying Veteran is deceased you may join the appropriate organization, even if the qualifying Veteran was not a member of The American Legion when living.
